Privacy policy

ARTICLE 1 – PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED

When making a purchase from our store, and as part of our buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you provide, such as your name, address, and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive the Internet Protocol address (IP address) of your computer, which allows us to obtain more details about the browser and operating system you use.

    Email Marketing: With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

    Personal data will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, known as the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), which entered into force on 25 May 2018.

    Order data are kept for 10 years. Data concerning shopping carts are kept for 3 months, data sent to our service providers for delivery are kept for 12 months. With regard to the newsletter, data is kept for the duration of the subscription.

    ARTICLE 2 - CONSENT

    How do you obtain my consent

    When you provide us with your personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, schedule a delivery, or return a purchase, we will assume that you consent to our collection of your information and to our use of it for that purpose only.

    If we ask you to provide your personal information for any other reason, such as marketing purposes, we will ask you directly for your express consent, or we will give you the opportunity to decline.

    ARTICLE 3 – DISCLOSURE

    We may disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law or if you violate our General Conditions of Sale and Use.

    ARTICLE 4 – SHOPIFY

    Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell you our services and products.

    Your data is stored in Shopify's data storage system and databases, and in the general Shopify application. Your data are kept on a secure server protected by a firewall.

    Payment

    If you make your purchase through a direct payment gateway, in that case Shopify will store your credit card information. This information is encrypted in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction information is retained for as long as necessary to complete your order. Once your order is finalized, the purchase transaction information is deleted.

    All direct payment gateways comply with the PCI-DSS standard, managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of companies such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

    The PCI-DSS requirements ensure the secure processing of credit card data by our store and its service providers.

    ARTICLE 5 – SERVICES PROVIDED BY THIRD PARTIES

    In general, the third-party vendors we use will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to be able to perform the services they provide to us.

    However, some third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase transactions.

    With respect to these vendors, we recommend that you read their privacy policies carefully so that you can understand how they will handle your personal information.

    Keep in mind that some providers may be located or have facilities located in a different jurisdiction than yours or ours. Therefore if you decide to pursue a transaction that requires the services of a third-party provider, then your information may be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which that provider is located or the jurisdiction in which its facilities are located.

    For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed through a payment gateway located in the United States, your information that was used to complete the transaction could be disclosed under U.S. law, including the Patriot Act.

    Once you leave our store site or are redirected to a third party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website's Terms and Conditions.

    We currently use Mailchimp and Shopsync as a third party application that is connected within our "site" to provide you with targeted advertising or marketing communications that we believe may be of interest to you. 

    If you have provided your email address when subscribing to our "site" or creating an account, if you have expressed consent, or if you have opted-in to our advertising and marketing, your information is also tracked by Mailchimp. 

    The application will synchronize also the data of customers who have made a purchase. This data will be used by Mailchimp automations to track order notifications and abandoned carts. It will not be used for marketing purposes.

    ARTICLE 6 – SECURITY

    To protect your personal data, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure that it is not lost, misappropriated, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed inappropriately.

    If you provide us with your credit card information, it will be encrypted through the use of SSL security protocol and stored with AES-256 encryption. While no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

    We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time, so please check back frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon posting on the website. If we make any changes to the content of this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you will know what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it, if any.

    If our store is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we can continue to sell you products.
