How do you set up resolutions that stick? 5 concrete actions.
RESOLUTIONS, the famous word that comes up every new year...
Let's be honest, how many of you stick to it?
I must personally confess that the word itself scared me ^^
First because I didn't believe it, but also because it ended up being a habit every year that we didn't stick to.
Then in 2022, I did not start the year in terms of resolution, but rather of OBJECTIVES, with CONCRETE actions to be put in place in order to achieve these objectives.
And you know what ? I got results.
How did I do? what were these objectives and the actions implemented, I will explain everything to you.
1) Your Mindset
When making a new start, it is important to start from a good state of mind. Maintaining a good mindset will make it easier for you to make good decisions and then act in a direction that will get you the desired outcome.
To change your Mindset, you need to visualize the outcome or goal you want to achieve. You need to eliminate bad thoughts and keep your focus on the positive side. To keep motivation and focus, your Mindset must always be clear and in line with your objectives.
You also need to be intentional about your goals. This implies setting up a program and concrete actions to achieve your objectives. Start small and measure your actions.
Surround yourself with people who inspire you to be better. Surround yourself with people who will help you achieve your goals. If you want to be sure to reach them, you will have to spend most of your time with those who will make you progress, with whom you will grow. Don't surround yourself with negativity.
Once you have set your goals put them in writing, if possible stick them somewhere where you can see them daily. Break them down into sub-objectives to make them more easily attainable.
Remember, your Mindset will define how you will act and make decisions that will affect the results you want to achieve.
When starting my entrepreneurial journey, one of my objectives was to obtain my accreditation as a societal impact company. This would allow me to consolidate the values carried by my company. This is a goal that I have never lost sight of.
Therefore, the actions I took since the creation of MissBak were consistent with the social and solidarity vision. So when the opportunity came, I applied and obtained my accreditation in March 2022.
Another objective was to multiply my B To B collaborations, i.e. partnerships with companies, institutions, early childhood organizations etc... And without even realizing it, i achieved that goal.
The truth is that I simply reaped the fruits of the work that I started months before in terms of networking, communication, customer testimonials, etc... So here we have the sub-objectives that allowed me to achieve the main objective which is the B To B partnership (more than 10 achieved in 2022).

Discipline is required in every situation, at least if you want to achieve your goals.
Having discipline is not depriving yourself of certain pleasures or undermining your well-being.
Being disciplined while reaching your objectives, will be for example, define a time slot and a day where you will carry out a task and stick to it.
As mentioned above, start small, it shouldn't become a burden otherwise your Mindset will be affected and you will obtain the opposite result than the one desired.
In addition to being disciplined, you will have to be resilient, don't get discouraged at the first failures. Personally, resilience is one of my strengths.
The first failures are not really failures, but rather a new chance to pull yourself together and correct your mistakes.
Measure the results of your work week after week, be indulgent with yourself and give yourself a reward from time to time ^^
In conclusion, to put in place resolutions that stick, you should start by clearly defining your goals and identifying the steps necessary to achieve them.
Next, you'll need to create a realistic schedule and stick to it. You'll also need to stay motivated by setting short-term goals and giving yourself rewards for each milestone you complete.
Finally, you should ask a friend or family member to support you and encourage you to pursue your goals.
