A natural household without toxic products!

The beautiful days are approaching and we want to do that spring cleaning, have a fresh and clean interior 🧹

But it's even better with natural products.

Our interiors are unfortunately full of products filled with chemicals, pollutants that can be the cause of eczema, asthma or allergies.

Did you know...there is a "sick building syndrome" that originates from the degradation of indoor air quality. Symptoms can include headaches, irritation of the skin, eye and respiratory mucous membranes or difficulty concentrating...

Does it speak to you ???

So what alternatives? here are 10 tips for a healthier interior 🌸

  1. Consider airing your home for at least 10 minutes a day to clean the air.
  1. Personally I avoid carpets or rugs, but if you have them at home, vacuum them at least three times a week, if possible a vacuum cleaner without bags (because more expensive and constituents of waste). Allow the room to ventilate after vacuuming.
  1. Avoid feather dusters and others that disperse dust and their hosts also not necessarily effective detergents and dusting sprays. Use rags instead of paper towels to clean and without creating additional waste. You can recover old clothes and cut them up. This way they will serve in a second life 😊
  1. Use white vinegar to clean chrome, windows, toilets. White vinegar is one of the must-have ingredients for a natural household. To remove limescale deposits on your faucets, spray a little white vinegar or clean with a cloth soaked in white vinegar and it's done. For stubborn deposits, leave it on for a few hours before cleaning with a cloth. White vinegar is also effective for descaling your kettles, pots, ect.
  1. Baking soda is also an indispensable product for your home because it is full of multiple benefits. It is not harmful, biodegradable, preservative-free and economical! There are 4 kinds (food, reserved for breeding, technical and pharmaceutical). I recommend food bicarbonate for your cosmetic preparations (there is also bicarbonate for cosmetic use) and technical bicarbonate for use in household tasks. It is recommended to wear gloves for household use to avoid skin irritation. Baking soda can be used to deodorize carpets or the refrigerator, as a softener for laundry, to scrub the bathtub. It is also a dust mite killer. 4 teaspoons of baking soda per square meter eliminates 80% of dust mites in 1 hour and 100% in 2 hours. It is a must have!
  1. Leave your shoes at the entrance or in a place other than the living areas. Shoes bring in all sorts of pollutants (exhaust residue, animal feces, and pesticides).
  1. Wash sheets, comforter covers, pillowcases, curtains regularly at least 60°C. Wash comforters and other stuffed animals regularly. Take advantage of sunny days to lay out the bed linen at the window: dust mites cannot stand the sun. It is advisable to change the mattress every 8-10 years.
  1. Always put clothes in closets, not on open shelves. The latter accumulate allergenic dust. Also, do not leave clothes lying around in bedrooms.
  1. Avoid bleach in your home. Indeed, the latter finds its use in hospitals because it is a very powerful anti-bacterial. Using it regularly in your home can upset your bacterial balance. Composed of chlorine, it is very harmful to the environment in which it is released. A scientific study published in the journal Occupational and Environmental Medicine has proven that household use of bleach promotes the development of respiratory and ENT infections in children aged 6 to 12 years.
  1. Make your own home cleaning products. This will allow you to save money, avoid chemical ingredients to have full knowledge of the ingredients you use.
